So, were there any witnesses who can place him behind the wheel? Did he confess to anyone at the scene that he was the driver if there were no witnesses? Was the vehicle damaged to the point that any physical evidence (prints specifically putting him behind the wheel) can be recovered? It may not be that the police didn't do anything, it may be that there wasn't any probable cause at that time and that an investigation had to be undertaken. The best thing to do is stay on top of the PD, get names of all of the officers who responded to the scene, get copies of any reports written (they are public record and can be obtained, especially for insurance purposes). I would highly recommend hiring an attorney because Joe Shitbag will have one, even if it's a public defender. |

| Besides taking youngest son and grandson Dove hunting later this month. NC has its Deer Youth hunt 27-28 September. Grandson will have a blast. He has his AR I built for him 2 yrs ago. I'll mount a red dot and get it bore sighted in. |
