Talon monocular night vision units from JRH Enterprises use either L3/Harris 20um white phosphor intensifier tubes or Elbit white phosphor intensifier tubes with either standard Carson/”Noctis” lenses or See individual unit descriptions for details, specs, and tube pictures. Available in black, OD green cerakote, and coyote brown cerakote housing colors.  Each unit is shipped in a custom hard case. The Ultralight Talon is a full-featured monocular engineered with cutting-edge carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite to reduce weight and size while significantly improving durability compared to standard PVS-14s, without sacrificing feature set or optics compatibility. The housing weighs only 53 grams and takes a CR123A battery. It is approximately 50% lighter than a standard PVS-14 housing. The Talon monocular is designed for ergonomic use, featuring a single tactile control knob for all device functions. Pressing and holding the knob powers the device on or off, while detented rotation allows gain adjustment. Double-tapping the knob activates the onboard IR illuminator, accompanied by and in-view indicator light, which can be tapped once to deactivate. When the IR illuminator is on, rotating the knob adjusts the brightness of the unit. The same knob is used to disable or enable auto off when stowed. A low battery indicator light alerts the user when battery replacement is required. NOTE- for users that are used to running a PVS14, the power on knob is a long push and hold, the power off is the same knob and has an even longer hold to shut off. The Talon monocular accepts standard PVS-14 mounting J-arms and accessories. It is shipped with a CR123A battery cap. The image tube pod is fully interchangeable with the Talon and Raptor binocular products. PVS14 to Talon Conversions How it works- You send us your PVS-14 using the very easy instructions we email you and we do the conversion to the Talon monocular and clean and purge the system and ship it back to you. The price assumes you have standard optics and a standard PVS-14 housing and tube, why do I mention that? Because there are a ton of bastardized copies out there and honestly some of them are hard to work with. If in doubt, email and include a pic of your monocular before purchasing this service. If your current monocular does NOT have a gain control tube (11769 format) your new talon will not either, as the gain function is part of the tube. If your current monocular HAS gain control (11769 format tube) you WILL have gain control in the new Talon- this is common sense but worth mentioning. If you are converting a PVS14 PRODUCED BY JRH Enterprises, the remaining warranty on your JRH PVS-14 will transfer over to the new Talon. Standard housing color is Black, use the options menu to request a Coyote or OD green housing.
