Is the rifle length gas system enough of a reason to go 18” on DD5?

I’m trying to decide between getting a DD5 upper in either 16” vs 18” (both in .308Win). I plan to run it exclusively suppressed. Thoughts on whether the rifle length gas system in the 18” version is enough of a reason to choose it over the 16”?

FYI, the 18" (V4) has a Rifle Length Gas System. The 20" (V5) has the Rifle +1 Gas System.

I own a DD5V3. Using a Surefire SOCOM 762K RC2 or my full length 762 RC, I have zero issues running suppressed.

16” vs 18” is up to you and how you plan on running the rifle (DMR/target set up vs battle rifle).
