I’m looking for a new pistol. I’m not much of a pistol guy and own and shoot very few. I would very much appreciate any advice. I don’t want to need to make ANY modifications or add anything to it. I’m tired of modifying a tool to make it operate the way it should. Here is the list of requirements for the pistol: 1) sub $1k around 800 ish preferred 2) good trigger without any mods. Right out of the box. 3) reliable night sights I don’t want a red dot on this gun. 4) sub compact 5) .45 or 9mm 6) concealable 7) fits large hands I own and shoot: CZ 75D sub compact. It’s a great pistol and out of the box the trigger is perfect. But the night sights are garbage. Sig P226 MK-25. Out of the box trigger was garbage. I had Sig put in a SRT that fixed that problem but I have a dot on it and with the mods it’s over 3k into it. Not something I want to lose if I have to use it. Colt series 80 1911 .45 cal. Im probably better with this pistol that she aforementioned 9mm pistols. But no night sights and I don’t want to modify it. Out of the box the trigger was gritty and a bit heavy. I fixed that myself. |
