Okay, maybe I'm missing something and I'm pretty sure it's the shot to shit SCAR16 mag I was using or packing grease. However, I'm not technically inclined when it comes to diagnosing issues and would rather have the experts/manufacturer chime in. I just bought a brand spanking new 11.5 URGI upper today and took it to get zeroed. Installed the included Super 42 and H3 buffer kit, slapped on my RC2 and zeroed it. Awesome, no problems there.
Next I just wanted to shoot a few strings before taking off. I took off the can and went to charge the rifle and I encountered a failure to go into battery. The bolt carrier wouldn't fully seat. This happened once in the middle of a magazine and several more times simply loading the gun for the next string. I had to mortar the gun each time to get the round free.
Now what I think was the primary issue was packing grease. Every time I sold a new rifle to a customer they went straight out to shoot and encountered the same problem, verbatim. Wiped the grease off with a rag, relube and they're off to the races. I did the same, however, and the issue persisted.
Am I correct in thinking it's the packing grease? I didn't have any issues using the SCAR magazine until I took my can off and shot. The ammo used that had issues was Winchester M193 and some PMC Bronze. No issues with my zeroed ammo.
Any help would be great! Thanks everyone!
