Flash hider installation?

I have a 11.5" upper and I'm looking at the flash hider. It looks like it is just a crush washer. Do you guys use rockset during installation or is it just a crush washer?

If it's our standard 11.5", we only use a crush washer. If it's one of the 16" commando's (11.5" barrel with 5.5" FH attached) then it's pinned and welded.
