If he installed a nitrated gas tube on these I believe they would all go much longer and show us what the barrels would really do instead of what the gas tube does. I believe it was the first one he done with your Faxon SS heavier barrel that went quite a bit longer then the ones he done after and my guess is it had a Nitrated gas tube on it or at least a better made SS one. I have heard the Colt SS gas tubes are slightly better then your standard cheap SS tube but I'm not sure on that. Either way, it'd be really cool to see what one of your Gunner barrels would do say a 14.5" or 16" Mid-length. Most of my rifles have lightweight barrels since I see no purpose for heavier barrels with my needs and I have quite a few Faxon Gunner barrels and likely many more in my future. Just finding out Brownells offers the 11.5" Carbine Gunner means I have a few more to buy for some pistol builds. |
