| I'll second the above post. I would like to see some Win. 350 Legend barrels too. Especially a 10.5 with a 1 in 12 twist for the heavier 265 gr subsonic ammo. Mated up with a 9mm suppressor it would make for a great home defense AR pistol. |

We will definitely be producing 350 barrels, and they'll be out before the next deer season!
We're currently looking at 16" and a pistol length, likely a 10.5" or 11.5". We are still finding out info on twist rates and extensions. SAAMI twist is 1/16, not sure how that will do on a 11.5", but we'll try it. |

I would buy a faxon 12.5 inch barrel if they hadn't missed the boat with the 1/2x28 thread for a suppressor.
The 5/8x24 thread is the best way to go. Most everybody has a 300blk barrel and it has 5/8x24. Hopefully they might offer a choice in the future. |

| Is there any concern about rigidity at the crown when using 9mm threading on a rifle cartridge barrel? I understand the desire to use existing muzzle devices but 1/2" muzzle threads do seem to create very thin wall thickness on this chambering. If one of these barrels were fired without a muzzle device would there be deformation of the muzzle threads? |

Just a plug here for my Ohio boys. My Faxon 16 inch 350 Legend barrel shoots lights out with both the FMJ stuff and the Hornady 170 gr. The Winny 180s and 150 BT were ok but the Hornady stacks them at 100 yards.
As for the thread pitch concerns, get over it. Unless you already have a suppressor there is no need for anything but a thread protector on the end. Blast is not bad and a simple bird cage is all you really need, if anything at all. I do run a BRT covert comp just because I have one and like the effects of pushing everything away from me. So far between the Faxon, a CMMG, a GLFA 18 inch and a KAC 12.5 the Faxon is the best shooting and I love the light profile and balance for a hunting gun. Now, if they would only dimple the barrel for the gas block it would be perfect. I’m thinking a lightweight pistol build using their 12.5 barrel may be my winter project after deer season is done. Like was said before I want to kill an Ohio deer with an Ohio gun. |
| 16 is fine. Get your real world drop and go with confidence. I sight my 16 inch dead on at 100 and was shooting about 4 inches low at 200 with Hornady 170s. If shooting at 200 I’d be leaning on a tree or other rest and working the drop. The old fashion putting the crosshairs across the back still works for me. After this season I want to try 300 just to see how it goes. But 200 is no sweat. |
nice! i have looked around and velocity loss seems minimal between 16 and 20. i would think 16 would have slightly less whip when firing and maybe a touch more accurate. i think im going to go with using a good bullet in my range and try for putting it where it counts. just my opinion.
