Curious about your thoughts on a 9x23 upper? I have recently bought a 2011 chambered in it and am really loving this round. I then thought how cool it would be to have a PCC in it as well. I figure the upper would not really be the hard part. I think magazines would be. I have not found any AR lowers that take 2011 magazines or para P18 magazines. I think those two magazines would be the easiest to work with the round, but probably not with the lowers. Being able to use para P18 mags would be awesome as they are easy to get, relatively affordable, and I have two RIA's 1911's that use those mags (Tac ultra FS HC), so I have a bunch of mags already. I am also in the process of converting one of them from 9x19 to 9x23. Unless you know of a magazine that would fit the round and be easier to adapt to the AR by way of a magwell adapter or a dedicated lower. Pretty much any 38 super magazine should also work with 9x23. |

It is basically 9mm long. It uses the same reloading dies as 9x19, so no need to buy another set of dies like other calibers. I really like the round. Powerful but not overly large. Easy to feed as there is no rim like 357 mag. Uses regular 9mm bullets that are cheap and plentiful. And lots of people like having a handgun and a carbine in the same cartridge. I also have absolutely zero interest in 350 legend. |
