| First post. I have run into an issue while trying to certify and Eform 4 for a suppressor with Capitol Armory. I purchased a DA Wolverine and was successfully able to certify on 4/18/24. I purchased a DA Sierra 5 on 4/22/24 and have attempted to certify the F4 with Capitol Armory 3 or 4 times since then. Each time we attempted to certify, we received an error on the ATF eforms site. Capitol Armory has been great and they concluded that the error appears to be due to having a suffix in my name, Jr. They said they had a growing list of customers that are having the same problem and that they have notified the ATF NFA branch. I'm curious if anyone else has been having this issue. Apparently, ATF updated or performed some sort of system maintenance after 4/18, and that is what is responsible for this issue. I don't see any other posts discussing this, so please forgive me if this is redundant. I'm not sure if Capitol Armory has someone that monitors this site, but perhaps they could provide additional clarification or an update. Has anyone else experience this issue recently? |

I just called and they said there's nothing they can do at this point, so I guess I just screwed. If I knew the AFT was working on a solution it would be different, but they're probably too busy kicking down some innocent person's door and shooting their dog to fix their mistake. I wonder if an email to my representative would do anything. |

Its all so stupid, but so typical of the federal government. The only thing they are efficient at is being inefficient. I purchased a Wolverine and everything was great. Capitol Armory was very quick about getting to the point of certification. I figured, may as well strike while the iron is hot, so I purchased a Sierra 5 two weeks later. Somewhere during that two week period, AFT did an "update" or changed something in their system and everything blew up. After that, everyone who happened to be born with the same name as their dad, grandfather, etc. is just screwed and nobody has any damn idea if AFT is working on it, if it will ever be corrected, if it was intentional, etc. I'd just like my $1200 back, but that's not an option either. I just sent a request for my Congressman to look into it. Who the hell knows? The whole eform process was already a piece of hot garbage, now the garbage is has been covered with shit and set ablaze. |
