Anyone have any issues with the 20rd mag that comes with the DOE 9mm not locking in properly? Mine clicks but then pulls out without the button needing to be pushed. The gun is brand new, just transferred to me today from my FFL. I tried a metalform 32rd mag and it seems to work fine and stays in place securely, but the 20rd H&R that comes with the gun just slides out. Comparing the two mags it looks like maybe the mag catch slot is slightly shorter front to back on the H&R, although I was under the impression that the H&R mags are actually OEM'ed metalforms. The mag catch is screwed all the way in, that's not the problem. Any ideas? I'm thinking the mag needs to go back. |

The H&R slick finish 20 and 32 round mags are from Metalform. Contrary to popular belief, they are not perfect. We have had some issues with the front lip of the mags not being cut consistently. This in turn keeps the mag from being inserted fully and allowing the catch to engage the slot. Two minutes with a file or dremel will correct it.

| Just checked mine that I received about 4 MOS ago and it fits perfect. No play at all and stays put if I try and remove it without depressing the mag release button. Mag will lock in with a full load on a closed bolt albeit with a stiff slap on the bottom. I have fired a full 20rd mag just once but it was 100% as was my 30rd H&R, 30rd ASC's, and 30rd C Products Defense Mags. Very pleased with my H&R DOE. |

Did some light dremel sanding and polishing and the mag locks beautifully now. Thank you for the help. |
