Found one of these at the gunshow for an awesome price, didn’t have my calipers on me, obviously, so couldn’t measure the FCG pins. Does anyone know if these have standard or large FCG pins? The lower is marked sporter, target model. It has no bayo lug, and has the large 2 piece pivot screw. Debating on going back to the gunshow for it. |

My Sporter Match HBAR has standard sized hammer/ trigger pins. Both of these are the preban with the flash suppressor but minus the bayonet lug. If it has the oversized screw headed pivot pin then it most likely has the standard fire control pins. The Match Target line was the post ban and more likely to have the larger pins. But we are talking about Colt so it could have just about any combo of parts.

If the price was good I wouldn’t care, especially not enough to carry calipers with me back to the show. I could see wanting standard items on an everyday/HD rifle but Inwould think anyone looking to buy this in todays times already has something that would fill that role. |

In any event, appears there are too many variations in sporter models, so I've been looking at match target hbars. I am not sure of the various other MT models, but have confirmed both with colt archives, and a physical rifle, that t least as early as CMH47xxx, these have standard fcg pins on MT6601 models. Still looking for a decently priced one for myself, but figured I'd throw it out there for anyone else looking. |
