| Is that a cheaper Centurian MLOK rail on the 6960? That doesn’t look like the CMR MLOK rail on their website. Too bad they don’t have a stripped down OEM style 6960. One last thing, is the 6960 barrel a pencil barrel? |

I remember reading that Colt changed it because that configuration was a Talo exclusive, but whether that's true or not, who knows. Brownells still sells the LE6960-CCU upper but without BCG and CH. The black rifle market is super slow right now. The best way for a retailer to make sales is to lower prices which is what is being done by many. There is no such thing as Colt/non-Colt parts. Colt has been using the same parts suppliers for years. Colt has never made all of their parts. If you read the Ichord reports from the Vietnam era, Colt talks about having part supplier challenges. I wish the internet tale of all Colt parts/non-Colt parts would disappear. Of course, it never will. |
