Colt MT6601/Match Target HBAR, serial number for when they transitioned to Milspec .155 fcg pins? Colt made a wholesale switch sometime in 2009, LE models are pretty well documented as starting sometime in the LE06xxxx range starting with the 6940s, and by the LE07xxxx serial number range, all LE(6920, 6921, 6933, 6940, 6943 and 6945) had switched to the .155 FCG pins. Unfortunately colt had different prefixes for a lot of their line, and the Match target HBAR's started with a CMH serial number, and this series does not seem as well documented. I'm looking to pick up an MT6601, lower or complete rifle but want a late production one with the .150 FCG pins. Does anyone know, or have a resource that can help me figure out what serial number range to look for? Thanks! |

Really, I know how to use google to find aftermarket .170 compatible triggers, but the only two applicable for my build plans are vaporware or worse(maybe 3, not sure if the Wisconsin copy of the MK trigger was made in 0.170 but they appear defunct now as well) though I appreciate the suggestions I’d prefer to focus on the serial number question posed. I understand there are limited number of people that would have this knowledge, but there’s not a ton of these on the market anyway so I’m not in a rush. As Frens stated, I was able to confirm that this is definitely post 46,000, but I havent been able to find a sample with a larger serial number to inspect. So if anyone happens to have magic number, or have a lead to connect that may be able to help me out, I’d very much appreciate it. |

The MT series are/were built in batches every 4 or so years. Got my first one in 2000 (mt6601) a friend got his in 2004 (mt6400c), my second one in 2008 (mt6731). The CMH045xxx mentioned earlier was at LGS but I’m not sure on the mfg date. Since it still had the large FCG I guess it was part of the 2008 batch. After that era I lost interested in the MT series because the 6920/6921/AR15A4 finally started being imported here. I found a pic of CMH047xxx and from the pic those looks .170 pins to me but I’m not sure  |

Unfortunately, he could not help me determine what month the switch over was for those model so we couldn't nail down an exact serial number for me to look for, so the search goes on |
