Just won this on GunBroker and need some help. Am I crazy or is this absolutely a 14.5 inch barrel and not a 16? They say it's a 16 and there's no mention of a pin and weld and I don't see one. Also, it has the half moon BCG. Will a normal full auto profile BCG work with the rifle no problem?? |

It definitely looks short but brought to the correct length with the longer muzzle device. It looks like it was welded all the way around, as opposed to a pin and weld. To me, it even looks like you can see the heat discoloration band all the way around the barrel, which could indicate it was welded too hot. Barrel might be toast. When a Colt still has a half moon carrier, it is usually because it needs it on account of the sear blocks they used to use. It will not work with a standard BCG unless someone does the work to remove the block. ETA: Why would you bid on, much less win, an auction without asking these type questions up front? |

Well I emailed them asking if it was pin and welded and this was their response “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We did measure the barrel and you are absolutely correct it is a 14.5 and is not pinned and welded. Unfortunately we will have to cancel this order. Thank you, The GunBroker Team at Shoot Straight” |
