You could sell it and get the DI upper and have a bunch of cash to buy ammo/accessories, or you could just run the piston upper. Enjoy!

I just checked a friends 6940P yesterday, and it has a SOCOOM profile (heavy under hand guards). All of my 6940's (and every one I have ever seen) have the Govt profile barrels.
I have heard that SOME 6940P's came with Govt profile barrels, but I have not confirmed that. |

Theoretically, If I were to take the barrel off of my 6940, and replace it with the mk18cqb barrel, would the two different types of gas blocks/
Gas holes be in the same location so I could use the 6940 folding front sight post/gas block? MY MAIN GOAL Is TO HAVE A 6940 mono with a 10.3 barrel and suppressor to slap onto my LE 901 lower, while having my 16".308 as my med range upper. Don't worry, this is just a question prior to starting all the necessary paper work to create a legal Sbr so I know it is possible to do. |

This is what I was afraid of. I was very excited to see a 10.3" barrel in stock but wanted to confirm this with you guys prior to wasting money! |

Is the upper receiver (a stripped one) on a 6940 different than the 6940P upper? Meaning could I take the a 6940 upper and install the piston system (barrel/bcg/piston) in the DI upper, assuming I had the correct Colt parts. Just a theoretical here

Front to rear is the LE6940P, LE6940 and LE6940 w/ India 5.56 evaluation upper receiver.
