I have a Colt 6921 with the pinned and welded muzzle. I was told that these were sold by Colt as complete rifles for a limited time. I have found a couple older forum discussions on the web where people say they bought these rifles brand new with Magpul handguards, grip, trigger guard, and rear sight. I purchased my rifle used, so I can't confirm if it was indeed a factory complete rifle, but mine is in this exact configuration. My rifle has an LE prefix serial number, QR code on the lower, cage code on upper and barrel, and no restricted roll marks on the lower. Does anyone else have a rifle like this or can confirm these were sold new in this configuration? |

Don’t recall factory PW using govt profile barrels Fairly recently there was also the 6920HBPW, which was a 6920 with a socom barrel and the funky extended a2 that the PW socom uses. There was also a socom barreled expanse that had a pinned smith vortex (if I remember the MD correctly) |

Colt sold 6920s with 14.5" pinned and welded SOCOM barrels (LE6290HBPW) and there were also some Expanse models sold around the same time with similar uppers but different flash hiders (CE2000HB), but like the rest, I don't recall any factory rifles sold like this with a standard gov't profile M4 barrel and pinned flash hider. But just because none of us remember seeing one like this, that doesn't mean it didn't ship from Colt (or a distributor) like this. It might be worth a call to Colt's customer service line and see if they can give you any more details about the model number and configuration when it was shipped. @Minuteman1636 - does this ring any bells with you? |

Unfortunately, I do not have the box. I will also add that the finish on the gun all matches quite well, including the barrel and A2 flash hider. We all know that when it comes to Colt, anything is possible. Maybe I will give them a call and see if they have any info? |

Glad you got it figured out. I figured that’s the case. That’s not a bad thing either. A year or so ago some 6921 uppers hit the market for super cheap. Lots of us bought them and added P/W BCM extended A2’s. |
