Colt has published their 2026 price list. Some noteable carbine product changes are: Discontinued products: LE920-EPR and upper receiver conversion kit LE6933-EPR and upper receiver conversion kit AR6951 9mm Carbine (will be replaced by a new product in the future) LE6920-R Trooper LE6920-FBP2 Items Added: LE6940P LE6940PCK upper receiver conversion kit LE6944PCK upper receiver conversion kit LE6943CK upper receiver conversion kit (not piston variant) LE6945CK upper receiver conversion kit (not piston variant) LE6921SOCOM upper receiver conversion kit (not pinned/welded) M4P6933 M4 pistol configuration M5P556-11H M5 pistol configuration LE6920 EPRII & EPRII-PRO and associated upper receiver conversion kits LE6933 EPR & EPRII-PRO and associated upper receiver conversion kits SBR configurations have been added to commercial price lists and will be more readily available. I'm sure there will be plenty of criticism from folks but this product movement has several positives in my opinion. |

I wonder if LMT's patent expiring later this year has anything to do with this. I'll have to keep an eye out for the M5 pistol SKU coming into stock. |

All I want (not need) is 3 more Colts to round off the collection. ![]() What are the barrel lengths on the Piston upper conversion kits? I'm all down for any M5 Pistol however I want a medium to heavy profile barrel. I've been wanting an 11.5 M5 upper and M5 pistol lower since these were released to us! Will Colt up production on the new stuff or will these trickle out as usuall? Patience is required to acquire. My list: 1. M5P556-11H M5 pistol configuration - THIS There is always something about Colt. I like Colt's. |

Seems like M5 11.5 uppers will be more available in the future. There are now a few places besides AU that have OOS listings. https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/098289035479 |

I like the new EPRII handguard. I wonder who makes it (looks kind of familiar but I can't place it)? I'd like to upgrade my LE6960 with that handguard but if it's a proprietary Colt handguard then I'd wonder if I could find the right barrel nut wrench for it? |

| Do we know if they finally gave the 694xP piston uppers/rifles a selectable gas block? I had an early 6940P and while it was great, it would beat itself up if I put a can on it - giving it a gas block with suppressed and unsuppressed settings would be a big deal... |

Still does not have an adjustable gas block. Thanks for the info. I'm not trying to be 'negative'. I'm a Colt fan! Who doesn't want to suppress their rifles. IMHO Colt is lacking in this department and is behind the curve. A piston needs to be adjustable. The M7 needs adjustable gas too. Who can argue this? I wonder what's got them by the gonads. Is their union labor affecting their bottom line that much? I'm still sore about the flashing issue with the M5 originally released. That should have never happened with 'Quality Makes it a Colt'. I'm looking forward to what they'll do new in the future every year. I'm interested in the M5 and want to add to my collection. My expectations are likely too much. Maybe not. It'll shoot. |

I'm hoping the LMT patent expiration gets us the MRR in the US, but I expect that the M5 will supplant both the MRR and 6940 due to production costs. TBH the M5 rail setup is good; I don't have an M5 but it's the same design as my M7 has. I'd like to see 6943 uppers available again; perhaps Colt will produce more after the LMT patent expires. I'd also like to see uppers available separately for the M7. |

I called Colt and they sent me a set, but said that they didn't have many on hand. |

I liked mine for the short time I had it - but it didn't really like running with a can on it (admittedly it was a 10-15 year old can at this point, so "old school baffle tech"), and not being able to put on a longer hand guard... If it had an adjustable gas plug/piston/block...it'd be much nicer IMO. Having said that I kind of scratched my piston itch with a BRN-4 upper...but, if I have the money and opportunity, I might pick up another 604xP.. |

| Gosh, I hope some of those piston uppers leak to the commercial market. I've wanted one as a point of comparison for years. |

I posted that Colt produces several rifles that are not geared towards government or organizationa sales and you asked which ones. I gave you several examples and now you are changing the subject, but I'll respond to that also. When a rifle is going down the production line it is just as easy to install a 300 BO barrel as it is a 556 barrel. That is the only part that is different and they would sell a ton more Colt 300 BO than they do Enhanced Patrol Rifles or AR15-A4. There are several people on here that have some really good inside information and I was just curious if they had some insight into why Colt hasn't put out a rifle in 300 BO. |

It would be if they had .300BO barrels on hand to install, but since they don't seem to be making or sourcing them, and nobody seems to be asking them to, then it isn't comparable to reconfiguring other parts they already have on hand. You posted several rifles that are either combinations of parts from other configurations already produced, or those that are offered for government use but that you aren't aware of actually being picked up on a contract. The pistols you mentioned are just SBRs with braces instead of stocks and the legal hoops satisfied to make them NFA items. That's consistent with my speculation as to why they don't offer it, not a goalpost move. |

An obvious improvement possibly could be adjustable gas block or other? I did notice that earlier on an adjustable gas block on the CM762 was published on Colts website. I don't think it was a figment of my imagination. Because when I purchased mine way back, I was expecting it to have one and it did not. Military rifles are being utilized supressed and adjustable gas makes sense. What other speculative improvement. Weight? I'll gladly trade in my CM762/M7 for one that has factory adjustable gas. I intend to shoot it suppressed. |
