As they transition from DTC sales to the distributor/retailer model, I think some of us are going to experience some discomfort. I know for me the direct connection to the company has fueled my interest/brand loyalty to LT products over the years and I will miss the boutique feel of the shopping experience at LaRue.com. I hope the Battle Knives and 24 hours of 2024 Christmas Dillo sales aren’t our last glimpses of that experience. Primary Arms is great, but LaRue is just one of the hundreds of brands they carry. I was going to count them, but when I got to 100 I was only in the B’s. It will be interesting to see how they fare in a crowded marketplace of bargain shoppers. |

^^^^^ Excellent observations. My LT loyalty started with a RTZ mount in around 2007. Blew my mind. Then my dream was to have a LT gun. I remember watching the OSR threads and the LT Forum have a direct connection to the OSR development. This forum and the direct connection to LT has really been fun over the years. Interesting seeing things behind the curtain. The Christmas Dillo really caught me flat footed. I really appreciate MickDog13 taking care of me. If this is the last year it's been a fun ride. |

Didn't know there was a dedicated thread to these. Started one in GD and everyone said NOPE! hard pass. they came out to roughly 10 bux a piece and guys were complaining they should be free  My 1st time ordering them I ordered one six pack not knowing they were as collectable as I see in this thread or that they went back as far as 07. Knew some collected them but DAMN at some of you guys that " caught 'em all!" have them displayed well with great pix. Planed on giving them out. But I might trade them off to members here that need some since they are sought after and me having one 2024 is not a collection by any strech. Gonna have to think about it they haven't even arrived yet. |

It’s kind of the last LT community thing left. |

Like many I have them all except the 2007. It's sad that this might be the last year. No longer doing direct sales is going to hurt them in the long run I fear. I remember when having a Larue mount was the mark of top of the line quality gear. Now days it seems like Larue is the entry level for good gear. The market/industry has moved on and this change to no longer having a storefront is just another example. And this is from someone who has more Larue products than I really want to count and add up the cost for.  That was like 6 years ago, I've bought more since then. End of an era for sure. |

I missed the boat too and came here to find more. That’s when I found out I was kicked out of my account due to dormancy. Just now got it reactivated. I need at least 3 2024 dillos. I have two NIW 2022s and a 2009 in great shape but not in a wrapper FT. I can even part with a NOLO round 6 in exchange for 3 ‘24 dillos. |

Well, that sucks. Waterjet, anodize, laser engrave, ?, profit. And if it's their last, why not a kick ass anodize like orange, pink, or white? |

I really don’t think the margins are high on this product at @ $8.33 per. Don’t forget the price of these 6-packs hasn’t changed, so inflation definitely ate into that profit margin. I believe it has always been about marketing and brand building. Would not be surprised at all to find these have always been a “break even” or slight loss. |

Damn I can't believe they sold out that fast , I am usually hunting in Wv over Thanksgiving get home & place a order. I order 2 packs .. keep 1, give 1 to my Father & Daughter & give 1 each to a good friends kids ( they both have received 0ne since they were born )  If anyone has extras I would gladly pay & or trade older extras. |

I used a virtual card and they apparently didn't charge it at the time of ordering so it had expired. The CS person gave me a call to get my CC info in order to ship the order. I had asked her if the RUMINT about this being the last year for Christmas Dillos was true, and she said that she had heard of no plans to discontinue them. I'd hate to see them go, it has always been a great gift to give my buddies, and help out people on here. It's amazing how a little bottle opener has turned into a community.
