Picked one of these up with restricted markings, barrel is dated 2003. LBD019xxx range serial. However carrier is unmarked and is M16 full auto style. Bolt marked MPC with matrix style font. Bolt and carrier wear match overall condition of gun which is lightly used. Gas key screws heavily staked which I'm told is Colt standard practice. My limited research tells me Colt didn't ship these with full auto carriers until early 2005. Or could the barrel have been in inventory for a couple years before being assembled. |

I think you are correct about the BCG, however I have learned that police trade-in weapons can be a mixmaster. I just received a 6721 and my charging handle and BCG were both BCM. Take you handguards off and the barrel will be dated XX/XX. You will be able to determine a close date of manufacture. If I remember correctly the date is on the extension end. In any case it's on the barrel somewhere. You might even find a very small C. |
