@SilencerShop *** ETA cleaned up my post to make it easier to understand. *** So I have been looking for an odd suppressor and found what I need. I want a full sized 5.56 suppressor that is user serviceable to use with my Ar-22 setups. I think it looks goofy having a full sized AR with a tiny suppressor on the end of it. I'm also hoping with more volume it will be quieter. I ordered a R9 from a different vendor last year. I had it sent to either SS and SS sent it to my class3 dealer, or it shipped directly to my dealer and they used SS to file the form4. It's been awhile and I can't remember the process. The brand is not carried by SS. Do I send this company my class3 dealer info and they ship it to them on a form3. Then once my dealer has the can they use SS for my trust and finger print info and SS processes the paperwork on their new Efile setup? I know my dealer is in SS network as they have done multiple transfers for me in the past. I plan on calling them Sat to see if they can answer my questions, but it being Easter weekend I was hoping someone might know. |

Purchase silencer. Have your dealer send his FFL/SOT to seller. Seller files a Form 3, when approved ships to your dealer. Your dealer then adds the can to his inventory at Silencer Shop and assigns the serial# to you. You'll go to your SS account, add a tax stamp and trust (if desired) to your cart and checkout. You'll go to ATF eForms, create an account. You'll need your username and PIN for certification. Silencer Shop will process your eForm 4 and when ready drops it into your dealers Dashboard. SS will bill your dealer $25 to process a silencer not sourced from Silencer Shop. Your dealer then clicks "Prepare". Once the draft is uploaded the dealer contacts you to certify your eForm 4. If filing as an individual you must do certification in person. If a trust you can do that remotely. |

I bought a can from a non SS dealer and had it shipped to my powered by SS dealer to have him do an eform 4 through SS. My dealer has told me that he doesn't see a way to add it to his SS inventory with the new eform 4, he has added 5 cans to his SS nventory in the past for me, has the process changed (due to eform 4) for adding the can to his SS inventory or is he doing something wrong? |

| Dealer finally got my eform 4 submitted, shows waiting atf approval on Silencershop website. Now is there a way to track progress or if it's been approved on the atf website. All my account shows on the atf website is my approved eform 1 from a few months ago, you'd think maybe my eform 4 would be on there too. |

They are out of the loop. When you certified at your dealer, did you get two emails from atf.gov? First one is an email receipt for the payment of your transfer tax, the second is notice that your eForm 4 is "Submitted/In Process". Now is there a way to track progress or if it's been approved on the atf website. Not for you. When approved, ATF will email you and your dealer the approved eForm 4 as an attachment. All my account shows on the atf website is my approved eform 1 from a few months ago, you'd think maybe my eform 4 would be on there too. Your eForm 4 won't show in your eForms account because you are not in possession, the transferor is. |

Ok, I got one email that said "submitted/in process". Makes sense now that I can't track it on my eforms as the dealer has it whereas I already had the pistol in my possession that I did an eform 1 on. Thanks for all the help in understanding these eforms. |
