The scope is on a gun that I want. I do not know the guy. I’ve never met the guy. Strictly internet and texting. I’d like to go into the meet knowing the scope is legit. He was able to send the serial number of the scope, since its mounted it could be hard to take a picture of. Can I email or call Vortex the serial and verify if it’s real? Like I would with Trijicon? Its a Razor 3 1-10 MOA, so its not one of their cheaper scopes. Edit. The price of the package is compelling, and I would rather buy the entire package for a good price instead of asking him to split it up. |

I don’t doubt that they exist but I haven’t personally even heard of fake Vortex optics. EOTech, Trijicon, yes. ETA: With it one of their higher end optics, I could see CHYNA trying to fake that. Glad you got it checked out by Vortex. They are good to go! |

There are fakes out there. I bought a used SPARC off the EE here years ago After a couple shots on a .22 pistol it would shut off. Called Vortex and sent it in. Got an email from them wanting to know exactly where I got it. It was a fake. Vortex was nice enough to sell me a real one at a extremely discounted price. The real one is still working great after a few thousand rounds. |
