Purchased a new (non-blem) lower, it arrived with a defect/obvious cosmetic issue. After providing customer service with images, I was told that "QC determined this is normal artifact and covered under the general disclaimer regarding manufacturing defects". Interestingly, when inquiring about the point of "blemula" products if standard non-blem products can have defects according to that disclaimer, I was told that it's based on size. Can you share the specifications/size requirements of what constitutes a blem product vs accepted defects on standard items? I'm genuinely curious as to what the guidelines actually are as I have blem items that are visually flawless vs standard items that made it through "QC" that have obvious issues. |

| We can’t share specifics for our QC process, but we do have an evaluation process that is as objective as possible. With the nature of machining, finishing and anodizing, some level of variation is typically inherent in the process. | I've built probably 8-10 G$ rifles out of blem receiver/rail kits. I've never had an issue with any. Even cosmetic blemishes were just different shades of colors vs the norm. I've had KAC and other company's NON-blem products, come looking worse than a G$ blem...you could always have Bill call you. |

I'm convinced 'blem' in the firearms world these days just means 'overstock' as a way to sell excess inventory and MAYBE a few that dont meet specs/etc. I'm also convinced that Geissele, much like KAC, is a company focused on LEO/mil contracts rather than the hassle that is retail 'civilian' sales (regardless of how they want to portray that) due to how pedantic most gun owners are hence why you see so many perceived blems in non-blem products. Their contract customers wouldnt care. |

One was a little light on the ODG stripped upper's anodizing and the other's MK4 rail was a tad darker than any other DDC parts I've seen. But not by much. Those were the only "flaws" I could find in them, anyway. I chalk it up to that being the nature of anodizing. I like anodizing much better than Cerakote, so you'll hear no gripes from me. |

Their contract customers wouldnt care. My blems from G had very clear blems on them. Weird stripes in the anodizing or actual metal impacts that don’t affect function. I like my Count Blemula guns. |

Yeah unforunately it's not a shade variation. The first was a weird "tie die" like stripes/swirls in the finish. Even though it had been inspected and initialed by someone in QC, they then claimed QC said it was out of spec and replaced it. A few weeks later , the next one shows up and it had a 1/8"-1/4" chip/piece of anodizing missing. That is the one that they said was not a blem per the measurements. |
