I've had every version since they released and currently have 4x Gen "2.5" uppers in 5.56 & 300blk Bring those back into production! Not everyone is into the Gen3 look & ergos. They keep the "180" vibes, fixed most of the early issues, and run great! There was, maybe still is, a market for the retro lowers and 16" uppers, and there's at least 1 or 2 bullpup and "SA80" people that want the 18" back  Factory options that would be nice to see - - Bring back reasonably priced lowers like the old -180M, not everyone wants to spend $300 on an ADM ambi - Gas block could use a couple more positions/port sizes between "S" and "U" - Spare parts availability - It's been difficult to impossible to get spare small parts until a few came into stock just recently - No more pin/weld uppers, or at options sans pinned muzzle device now that the laws around SBRs are changing - A shorty 300blk was always on my wishlist. I "made" a 7" one w/ a KAK 1:5 barrel blank, and it didn't require any other changes to the gb/piston  - Support for aftermarket handguards. The Lingle Industries adapter for BAR-style handguards (Aero, Seekins, etc) would be a nice factory option  And for anyone looking to lighten up their setup, JAG composites makes a carbon handguard ("brenda") that really balances out the upper

| If they would bring back the retro lowers I'd buy two maybe three. I concur with not being into the Gen 3. I know they can't please everyone but the allure of the BRN 180 is it WAS an updated version of the AR-180. The Gen 2 was perfect! The Gen 3 is just too far away from the original for me, if that's what I wanted I would get an MCX. |
