So I was finally able to pick my rifle up yesterday from my FFL. He was in Madrid for 10 days when the rifle shipped.  I really like it, the stock is just another Magpul Hunter stock which is a good thing. It works very well with the 18" tapered heavy barrel. Going to put my new Razor Gen 2 3-18 on top and see how accurate it is. |

| The delay on the savage has been largely a supply chain constraint. Given the numbers of 700 and Ruger stocks that we are shipping, it's hard to keep up with casting, machining, and ano, and thus design changes and revision iterations have taken longer. We have finally broken the logjams with additional capacity, so 110 stocks should see commercial availability (not just OEM) soon. |

I've had a horse fall on one of my rifles with a Hunter stock on it. I also build rifles in my side gig, usually Stiller actions and Proof or Krieger barrels. I put them all in Hunter stocks. They go to guys that use rifles hard, and zero issues with any of them. |

I wonder how much the Oryx will weigh. I was surprised how heavy the Magpul felt when I handled it. I actually just sent Savage an email asking if their 110 Tactical stock would work on my 12FV and if so how much it cost. A lightweight AICS stock that seems like it would work well for general use without weighing a ton. I ordered a different company's chassis today. Tired of waiting on this. Been waiting for almost 3 years. I think it's kind of a crappy thing for a company to do; lead on loyal customers with an anticipated product, and continuously push the date back with no real ETA on availability. It seems very conceited on Magpul's part to just assume their customers will wait for years on end and still welcome this stock with open arms. |
