Will the nano fit on acro mounts? My nano came with a B&T mount, which is more than sufficient, but I'd like to use something else, to be different I suppose. Any and all input is appreciated! |

The clamps look different, but work the same. The issue is the lugs front and rear on the bottom. It looks like the Scalar mount is milled out on the top, but it looks like it’s for weight savings and the Nano still might not fit. |

The dovetail looks identical on both mounts, it's the gap for the clamping bolt that appears to be incompatible. Attached File Attached File |

Good catch, most are like the top one and non-directional, but that only applies to the Acro. My Acro is mounted, so I can’t say for sure, but it looks like it uses the cut out for the cross bolt. It’s in the right position, the cross bolt just looks high. I just checked my spare Nano mount and the cross bolts don’t go thru the cut outs at all. They go above them, here’s a pic of a Nano compatible mount, the requirement being the slots from the top toward the front and back.... https://imgur.com/a/pWVreLv |

A Nano and Acro mount guide... Nano & Acro compatible: non directional mount with 2 cross bolt slots and Nano specific oval slots front and rear. Attached File I believe that tab is meant to go into a mating hole to prevent forward/backward movement. The nano strictly clamps left and right. I actually believe the nano would fit the scalarworks mount, but nothing would prevent it from moving forward or reverse (outside of the left and right clamping force) |

Yes, that’s the Nano tab. Probably not worth the risk mounting a Nano on the Scalar mount. I wish everyone would just make mounts compatible with both, but I also know they can’t because the Nano can’t handle being mounted to a slide whereas the Acro can. So, at very least, all of the slide optic mounting plates would be different. |
