| So I just got my first aimpoint a PRO from aimsurplus. I have noticed when looking through the optic I can see a red line running from about 10 o'clock to 4 o'clock with the aimpoint on or off. Is this a normal for this optic? It's also not always there just depends on the lighting I guess. If it's not normal what's the best way to get ahold of aimpoint? Thanks in advance |

Ok, I'm not joking I was asking a serious question about my optic as I stated never had a aimpoint before. Just asking if this is common or something wrong with my optic. I was trying to avoid talking to aimpoint in case this was normal but I see no help or advise will come from here so Mods can remove this thread. Thanks anyways.

Dont get all bent outta shape there bud I think that gentleman gave you the best possible respone containing the aimpoint contact info. I've been keeping an eye on this topic as I just received my first PRO last week. When I mounted it and looked through it the dot was solid, no comet or line from 10-4 as described. I wear light reading glasses for the PC and reading, and the next morning after a bit on the PC, I picked it up and looked through it. Horrors, the line was there and the dot had a tail.
Since then I have randomly picked up my rifle and sighted through the PRO when I haven't had my glasses on for a bit and the dot is solid and no lines appear anywhere. If I've spent an hour or more with my glasses on I see a very slight comet effect in the house or outside, natural or artificial light makes no difference. I haven't noticed a line since.
