I ordered a new kit for work a couple weeks ago and it included the APX8000 pouch. I just put it all together and went to toss my radio in and no matter which way I position it, it wont close. Facing backward, the closure cannot clear the channel knob:  Facing forward, if I yank the piss out of it, it'll clear the knob but cannot reach the loop on the back to close (also the PTT connector is inaccessible this way anyways, and the top display is covered):   Nothing crazy about this radio. APX8000 with a 25Wh battery:   Did I recieve the wrong pouch? Or am I fucked up? |

Looks like the correct pouch to me Also looks like that 8000 has updated features or something. Specifically that band at the top is your issue. What is it? I see it on a few Google search images but it was not on any of the radios when designed or I've seen since. And my Google fu is failing on what it is... Supposed to cover the screen also. |

Fits like a glove man. Thank you!! Do you want me to ship the 8000 pouch back?   If I could make any recommendations for the design, it would just be to flip the orientation (or increase the cutout on the other side) so the PTT interface is exposed instead of the button. I don't care because I use a bluetooth PTT, but cops like their wired hand-mics and in the current config you can't attach one. Otherwise, you nailed it. |
