I've been very frustrated waiting for the new ACROs. Have a back order now since last summer. I read a few early orders were filled at EuroOptics, but they have no idea when more stock will arrive to cover remaining backorders and have some for new customers. I know we have had global supply chain issues, so rather than just bitching, just decided to see if I can find someone here in the know about what's happening with them and see if I can learn when the will start flowing to customers.
Thank you in advance. |

Euro Optic recently said they are expecting an order in April, Aimpoint claims most of their optics are going to the border patrol.

That's a good way to motivate the civilian market to shift allegiances, especially when there are so many less expensive alternatives. |

Also waiting for a P2. Was hoping for the April drop.

My Acro order in late October shipped today from Eurooptic.

Figures. I just canceled my EuroOptic ACRO backorder and bought a Steiner MPS so it stands to reason ACROs would start shipping. I still have a number of RMRs and an ACRO P-1, so I'm covered. Think I will take a hard look at the MPS though. If nothing else I can always put it in a 45-degree mount and used it on a 7.62 rifle with an LPVO if I decide to get a P-2 for the PCC the Steiner will sit on for a while.

EuroOptic told me on Friday that they had 200+ people with paid backorders, almost all of them in front of me, with no idea what AimPoint was going to be sending them...so I started looking again.
Got lucky. Found a small (but reputable) site that had several in stock and actually on sale, for $490. Great deal in light of availability. A couple buddies jumped on it as well. Their stock did not last long...but it is encouraging to see more places getting them. |

Finally got one of these from Scalarworks and now I REALLY need Aimpoint to get their production going because I love it. Not sure if I will buy a T2 ever again.

T2 is a tank, has an established record of performance/durability, and the helicoils alone make it a worthy successor to the T1, but it is more expensive than the P-2 and the dials sucks. It's mushy and still doesn't have an off setting between each level. Yes, you may leave yours on. Many of us don't. The P2 is a nice direct mount option that doesn't need a separate mount, reducing the cost even further. I find the dot to be at least as good with my astigmatism as the T2 and the push button controls are very easy to use, unlike my RMR which requires far more force to register a push. And, it looks awesome on something like an APC9 Pro. So for $500, I could have a P-2 or wait around for another T-2 sale to get one at $650 plus the cost of a mount...so probably closer to $800. |

Try sourcing 35-40. If you think one is painful stand by.

Watched an interview with Aimpoint at the NRA show. The rep was asked specifically about the ACRO P-2 and its nonavailability. He dodged the question with 30 secs of happy speak that conveyed nothing.

View Quote I got the email this morning, and because of the last email and failed attempt, I had an aimpoint account, and a payment method already added.... I get the email at 7:30am this morning, i am on the site by 7:32am, and have one in my cart, and then the site crashed or something, then they became not enough quantity...So, a few minutes later the red purchase button was up again, so I add one to my cart again,. get to the payment, and hit process and it then tell me there is not enough to process my order...Three times this morning, I had one in the cart and was pressing process...and each time get denied...I dont know what else I can do...I am done trying, and if this is how they bring out product...fuck Aimpoint... I am just going with another sight...I can't wait any longer to have my slides machined to this mount pattern, so its RMR cut I guess... Off the rant box...Just wanted to vent...It was a arnry morning... |

Aimpoint…like many Euro based companies favor mil contracts over civilian… That said. I really like the Steiner MPS…I got tired waiting on AP and I refuse to pay the stupid prices people are asking.. |

Will always find a use for it, but still need an ACRO if/when AP gets their shit together. |

I managed to snag one today from Aimpoint's website today. So now I have the one work issued to me on my pistol and I'll put this one on a personal gun.
