Love my 762 SD, quick question. I have done a search and turned up a little conflicting information in regards to acceptable calibers for the 762SD. I was wondering mostly about 30-06 on a bolt action, 20"+ barrel.... I see that Remington has their 700 SPS in 30-06 with a threaded barrel..so..Can I do it? Is it warrantied? Thanks! @AAC

The 762-SD was originally designed to suppress 308 and smaller calibers in normal barrel lengths. That said could it hold up to 30-06 on a standard barrel length? Most likely but it probably won't be hearing safe and we have not tested it for that application.

hmmmm......I imagine it would take away quite a bit of recoil and concussion. So, is it warrantied?

Will they hold up on a 300 WM on a 26 inch barrel? I know at one time you all said it was okay but that has been some time ago.

Shouldn't my 762-SD lock up tight? Why do I get play in the fitment between the can and the 51t mount. Its the same on three different rifles. Its only tight when it feels line its between teeth. Ive yet to shoot a round out of it. Concerned about the play in the fit up.

My 556 SD is the same. It doesn't cause any problems. That is just the amount of distance between the teeth.
