I have a 16 inch 9mm Banshee upper, using it with endo mags and factory ammo.
As of this morning I have 500 rounds fired
At least once a mag or more I will get a round chambered and have a misfire - as in the hammer falls and no mark on the primer. I have yet to be able to go 30 rounds without this happening.
It is random - could be the first round or could be the 23ed round. Today (before I gave up) I had two in the first 10 rounds of the magazine.
Today each time this happened I pushed the FA and made sure the bolt had been seated. Don't know about before I pulled the trigger, but the bolt was seated/in battery after the misfire.
Rounds seem to feed and extract fine. Have not had any stoppages caused by FTF or FTE
What I have tried:
3 separate lowers, all with carbine extensions and standard carbine buffers/springs.
These three lowers have different triggers - AGL, LaRue and a stock CMMG out of a parts kit
The BCG is well lubed, and I have cleaned the upper a couple of times.
The lugs on the bolt look great with a slight polishing from the rounds fired. Firing pin seems to move easily. Fired cases have a nice big strike showing on the primer.
The ammo is factory and includes 115, 124 and 147 grain bullets
I have emailed customer service and waiting on a response. Just curious if anyone else has seen or heard of this happening and any possible cures.
