I believe the ones I've got are the second from the left. 123gr. Scenars.
If I could only have one to stock and shoot, I'd guess it'd be the Scirocco II bullets. Decent barrier round, great hunting round, should print pretty small groups too.

Uhm, a couple weeks back, and you'll have to forgive an old guy because I've forgotten her name, but the gal at AA said they had plenty of ammo in stock. This was when I was checking on another part. They didn't have Wolf, but she said just about anything else I want, they had.

It's got a pretty doggone good BC for such a light bullet. They shoot good out of my Grendel, but not as good as the Noslers and Lapuas. They aren't as tough as I hoped, blowing up on 1/2" steel. They do make really cool splashes though!

Most of us think the Lapua numbers are a little optimistic, but the Barnes might be also. I rely pretty much on Bryan Litz's measurements, and I don't think he had done either last time I looked.
Xterminator works really well in that range, good velocity and accuracy, though you can also use TAC, I've found Xterminator a little better. Also Accurate 2460 and 2520. Some guys have had great luck with Benchmark, but I haven't gotten as much accuracy out of it as the XTerm. Bill |

Bill I was wondering because every time I hear his name mentioned, I hear about G7 at the same time. The Lapua website lists all of their pills' BC in both G1 and G7. |

Since it is just about the start of rifle season for deer I quickly thought of two of my favorite bullets for the 6.5 that weren't mentioned so far: The 100 and 125 grain nosler partitions. the bc's arn't great but these are the best hunting bullets i have ever used for the small deer we have in texas and the big hogs.
I also had great success with the accubond bullets but i had a 260, they might be too long and heavy for the grendel. I just got my barrel from AA this week so I will be taking my first few deer (hopefully) with a grendel in early november. I also never had much success with the solids, again this was with a much higher velocity than the grendel pushes them, but they seemed to go through the deer and not do much damage, and at high velocities out of the 260, and 264 win mag, I couldnt get them to group that well. |
