@aeyoung and I have our displays are set up at the 45th annual Colt Collectors Association show at the Embassy Suites in San Marcos,TX. If you are nearby, come by and see us to see some one of a kind and out of production Colt items. My display this year focuses on Colt 6940-series variations and prototypes. | @Minuteman1636 and @aeyoung had a great display at the show. I was amazed with their display, the quality of the pieces, prototypes and their extensive knowledge. They are a real asset to the Colt Collecting community. Great job you'all. Keep collecting and sharing. |

We get asked to come and are a good thing for the show now. People understand that they need to have the presence of the Colt full product history at a show. Next year (2025) is in North Carolina. @aeyoung and I currently don't have any plans to attend NC. It's just too far for him in Arizona and me in Missouri. 2026 is in Noblesville, IN. We are discussing possibly attending there. |
The show made me realize I should have bought some 1st Gen SAAs in the '60s.  The Colt Offensive Handguns were pretty cool. I wish I would have taken my 1911 U.S. Army slide to get an estimate of value. It's been in the safe for years and it probably should get a new home. |
