Was really glad to see the email this afternoon. Been waiting for these for years! Just when I thought I was done buying guns for a while, I think one of these uppers just shot straight to the top of my short list. |

We are extremely excited about the addition of 300 BLK to our lineup. We have been receiving questions on our 1:8 twist and would love to explain further. As we all know, the argument in general for twist rate is that you want to be only as fast as is necessary to stabilize the bullet. This is because the faster you spin the bullet, the more you can exacerbate issues related to the bullet's center of gravity. We found that to accomodate the wideset selection of ammunition, Supers and Subs, the 1:8 twist gave us the best results. Even in a shorter 8" barrel, we were able to easily stabalize heavier sub-sonic ammunition. With our Phased Array Gas System we also gave users the ability to shoot booth Supers and Subs with or without a suppressor. There is no need for an adjustable gas block. We know that this is different from what other manufacturers may have chosen, but we plan on releasing a video soon demonstrating the capabilities of our 300 BLK! |

Thanks for the reply. I expected and assumed 1/7 as that's what Eurooptic showed in their preliminary listing. I had a 7.5" 1/8 twist Faxon barrel at one point. It stabilized 220's fine. 1/7 has worked well in all the other barrels I have tried as well. I think 1/5 is a marketing ploy by someone that isn't needed but has been gobbled up by fanbois on the internet. Not sure I'll pick one of these up or not. I really wanted to last year, but I've kind of settled on my 6.5" Dissent build for 300 Blk as it suits the HD/backpack gun role well. I think I would be interested in an 8" 5.56 upper or barrel though... |

All my 300blks so far have been 1:7 or 1:5; I have a 6.5" Vseven (for now at least) that is 1:7 and stabilizes everything fine. I have no reason to doubt G did their homework on the twist rate. I've also never had problems getting 9" guns to run fine with both supers and subs with AA1680 and 208+gr bullets (the 6.5 VSeven works too, but it is pretty heavily gassed with supers) but looking forward to getting a feel for how/if the phased array changes anything. |

@GACS What rifles or pistols in your lineup have the new phased array gas system. Also, I understand how it works, but can you explain how it works with both supers and subs, suppressed or not. Convention wisdom says one of those scenarios will be either over or undergassed. Does the PA system help eliminate gas to the face? Researching for my next purchase. |

With my YHM Resonator K it is gassed perfectly and I don't notice gas to the face. With my Diligent Defense Enticer S it is getting gassy, more noticeable indoors than outdoors. The Enticer is substantially quieter though so I will stick with it. Thank you for jumping in Spyderboy! We appreciate you sharing your experience. Phased Array technology is really incredible innovation. To keep some trade secrets and contracts happy we cannot get too deep into the science, but we totally understand the desire to know the "how and why" this system works. We never want users to hear "just believe us", we want to always show you the evidence! We plan on having a video ready for next week demonstrating the 300 Blackout. So how does it work? Bassically we have three "phases" that are timed around the barrel to permit softening the gas impulse, and increasing dwell time without needing to increase barrel length. It acts as a self regulating system. |

I got just the G barrel that I'm going to be building into a mutt upper soon (It will definitely use an inferior BCG and all in is only 2-300 cheaper than the best price I can find on the complete Super Duty upper, so the wisdom of this path may be debatable on a different day). I'll be trying it with my AAC Ranger 7 and Griffin Dual Lok 7;l both are advertised as "reduced backpressure" but not flow through. Both run fine on my other 300blks, so I expect nothing less here, but should have initial real world feedback within a couple weeks or so hopefully. |

Hello all I purchased the 300blk Super Duty barrel kit. Build is the 300blk Super Duty barrel kit in a LMT upper, Cheap 40 dollar 7 inch MloK handguard, Geissele BCG. Geissele CH Lower is a Geissele complete pistol from a factory 10.3 pistol. H3 buffer super 42 spring. Installation of the barrel was a breeze as the gas block is notched to the barrel is ensure precise alignment of the gas block. While the gas block has the threw pin hole the barrel itself is not drill for the threw pin and a threw pins was not included with my barrel kit. Looking at the additional venting of the Phased Array Gas Systems Im not sure if I would want to "bombproof" install a threw pin. A B&T Verse 36 suppressor was direct-thread mounted. I removed the Geissele H3 buffer and replaced it with a KAC 2H (HH) buffer 4.60 ounces. I ran the weapon dry, and I encountered short stroking with that setup. I switched to a standard carbine buffer 3.0 ounces , and the weapon functions fine with 220-grain loads. I have a Geissele H1 in route, which is what is recommended for the 300blk barrel and will be used when it arrives. I think the H1 Geissele buffer 4.0 oz will work and suspect that if the weapon was lubbed and not ran dry the KAC buffer would have also functioned with the 220subs. Overall I am happy with the new barrel. I didn't experience any gas leakage from the gas block even with supers. |

I suspect the advertised system works best cycling all ammo with a lower back pressure can Hello Mittens300, Our apologies for any inconvenience, if you haven't reached out to our tech team at [email protected] let's get you set up with a ticket to further assist! If you have a ticket already we are happy to walk through your setup with our Gunsmiths and Techs to see what the issue could be. |

The phased array system is truly unique in that the three separate gas ports assist in slowing down gas to the carrier, making an adjustable gas block unnecessary. Much of our testing for the 300 BLK system has been with low back pressure cans like the HUX 762 series. Having a flow through can makes it much easier to run both supers and subs, especially with our 1:7 twist barrels. With that being said there is no such thing as a free lunch. We recently worked with HUX to produce a Euro Optic Exclusive version of our GFW. It utilizes a new FLOW 300, a suppressor specifically designed for slightly additional back pressure to run as a dedicated Sub gun. The GFW with a Flow series is great to cover all options, this is simply a Min/Max scenario where you can decide if you want to be more flexible or simply run a dedicated system tuned for subs. If you are Form 1'ing and running a FLOW can, speaking from experience you will be extremely happy with that setup. |
