whats a realistic price on a lightly used 2007 free range dillo? there is a clown on e bay asking 750 for a set up to 16 but everyone knows only the 2007 has any real value. im thinking 175-250 but maybe i missed the inflation? so whats a realistic price? |

I’m sure there are still some folks out there trying to complete their collections, but like a lot of things LaRue, they definitely don’t have the mass appeal they once did. I think the mood shifted when they stopped mailing them out to good customers and including one with orders around the holidays. It just isn’t the same when the only way to get them is to buy a 6-pack for $50. I think others probably lost interest after the extremely limited run in 2024, and the shift away from DTC sales no doubt put a damper on demand. For many, they were a fun incentive to order something from LaRue around the holidays. It was a great tradition and I still maintain three complete sets - two in packaging and one free range. I’ve considered selling all of them and being done with it, but there doesn’t seem to be much demand for them. I know there are still a few die-hards among us, but I had some spares I couldn’t give away in the exchange thread this year.  Attached File |

im not selling, im looking to purchase a 2007 to complete my collection...just think 750 for the set on the big E is outragous. but capitalism is king and who knows maybe someone will pay it? ill stay in the hunt, as like all things larue waiting was a big part of the game |

I consider myself a collector. I have a complete set, plus a spare 2007 (one free range, one caged). 2007 and 2008 are the most valuable in my opinion. all others are $10 in my eyes. I've seen 2007s go for $200, but have also seen them go for $50-75. Just depends on how bad the guy wants to complete their set. $750 for a set is crazy IMHO. You figure $160 for 2009-2025, then whatever 07&08 are worth. I think a fair price for a complete set, non-free range, is somewhere between $400-500. Free range, knock a hundo off or so. There was someone on here with a set missing an 07 (maybe more) for $450. I was tempted, as I want a complete set for free range and a complete caged set, but $450 is just too much without an 07 included. Just my $.02 |

only what the buyer is happy to spend  i got one for 50 from fleabay 2 yrs ago so i have seen them $50 - 300+ for either of the '07s (04 or 07 copyright on tail) the 08 has more value than the remaining years & the misspelled '13 can get good value for a collector then there are all the variations... but that only adds $ for the serious collector & that is overly priced for .... not a complete set |

The different shades of purple on the 09 may add a few bucks if you get both too. Mine are all free range and the only Christmas decoration that doesn’t get taken down each year. lol Someone here has a pretty crazy collection. Collecting dillos, besides the Christmas ones is not a rabbit hole I’d care to go down… |
| Worth only what someone is willing to pay. With all the stuff that happened on here with Mark followed by now using a distributor the demand on them is not what it used to be. I stopped collecting them 6 years ago. |
