I have a light that I put together from parts from you.
Here is what I have SF 9p. With extension. =12v. Of cr123 Turbo head Here is what I would like to do. Convert existing light to 18650 or use turbo head with 18-650 body. It will be a weapon mounted light that I use to coyote hunt. I am tired of buying cr123s and would like to go rechargeable. My current light gives me 100-125 yards of visibility with a clear ID on a y Coyote. I also realize this is probably old technology and I might can get better performance out of something new. I would like to use the 18650 batteries or other high capacity rechargeable. What do you recommend? I am willing to spend up to $150. |

Without boring the 9P body you'd need to go to two 17500's... but the bigger problem is finding a turbohead conversion that's affordable. IF you can afford to make a change I'd highly recommend the OLight M2X-UT Javelot (incredible throw & accepts 18650's) or you could go to a Surefire P2X Tactical or Defender and use a 17670 battery stick. I'd also recommend the Elzetta Bravo and use the 17670 or the Charlie and use two 17500's.
