Here is a rare one! Prototype Colt Close Combat documented 1 of 2 of which I own both This was a multi year project that spanned over a few different contracts through misc branches including USMC, navy and a couple others. It features a 1911 style base 45, heavily modified double eagle trigger mechanism converted to DAO and lightened, muzzle guard to keep slide in battery, ‘knuckle dusters’ machined into frame for rigidity, double stack mag and a spike that swings downs and locks into place. I aquired these from both the engineers whom these were purchased and worked on the project. Defiantly the highlight of the collection so far and I plan to shoot one soon.
