We often hear back from guys bragging they can shoot better than our test shooter. In his defense, he's got a bunch of rifles to shoot daily, regardless of weather, hustling rifles back and forth without putting a scratch on 'em.
Here's the deal - make a copy of your target, then shoot a better group on the unshot side of your copy, with factory or handloads (don't matter), then post a pic in this thread, and I'll have our laser dept. whip you up a Special Edition Recognition Dillo ... " I Outshot LaRue's Shootist." ETA - email a copy of your "I Outshot LaRue's Shootist." post, and a link to the page on this thread, and your address to ... [email protected] |

Crap. I got my Stealth from the original purchaser -- who lost the test target even though he never fired the upper.
I'd like to see my 2-4" groups next to the < 1moa test target EDIT: Can I send my upper to LaRue with a $20 taped to it and have them run another target? |

This would be the very definition of "dream job" if you paid him to shoot... |

Give me my Match Grade barrel and we can talk! I don't have a test target for my field grade.

I see how this works. Now I have to spend $2,000 on a new scope to get a special dillo.
Challenge accepted! |

This sir is a brilliant marketing idea!! It is an awesome catalyst to have people post the accuracy of their LaRue rifles as well as a constant confirmation of the quality of LaRue. I expect to see a lot of prized dillos finding new homes over this. BTW there should also be a 1 MOA All Day Dillo too.

Here are a couple more. I have two other rifles with test targets, field grade barrel on a fourth, and here are the results of the two with test tgts.
The top target is 18" OBR. The test target was a 5 shot group so my group is 5 shots as well. Test Target Larue Shootist .773 5 shots 168 FGMM, my target .430 handloaded 175g Berger. The second rifle is a 14.5" tOBR. I added a dot because I am using an 8 power scope and can't see the dang target square without it but I appreciate the ribbing sir This rifle came with a very nice TINY little .385 test target, dang it that damn Larue shootist , aaaannnnddd I couldn't beat it But I came close with these two try's. Good fun this thread. |

The Costa came with a .429 target. I doubt I could shoot a 14.5 better than that.
