This thread makes me really sad. From what I can gather at least one 12/21 order has been filled?
Mine was on 12/26 so I was hoping there would be some news by now. I even have ammo to put in them. Midway has some DP steel mags that come out to about ~$65 for a pair shipped. Don't like the price but I picked up a pair because I really (really) don't like having only one magazine. Haven't shot them yet but they seem serviceable. |
Yeah, still no movement on my 5 packs ordered on 12/26 and 1/3. Nor any movement on the case of 22lr that I ordered on 1/3 as soon as I realized that the hoarders were going ape on every caliber imaginiable, I'm a couple of months away from having to abandon my montly rimfire steel match.  Unrelated to the 308 mags, but equally as frustrating and ridiculous.

| I just got off the phone with Breanna from Brownells because when I looked at my 1/4 order it says cancelled/ unable to fulfill. So I asked what the deal was and I was told it is still backordered with no ETA. I think someone from their ordering dept better get bustin their asses to find some since other smaller industry companies are shipping plenty. |

Smaller industry companies stopped taking back orders when the panic hit; Brownells didn't. So there are a ton of people ahead of you (us) who got on the list. Just be patient, but if you are in a hurry - order from the other companies and cancel w/ Brownells. Just always remember Brownells was there for us in the crisis - now every one's bitching about wait times . As the consumer ourselves, we caused the delay. No one at Brownells needs to be bustin their ass - they are doing the best they can with tidal wave of backorders.

I ordered on 12/26. In the past couple months they have been popping up at other vendors here and there, some through firearms manufacturers and most recently even Cabela's had them online for a good day or so. I understand being patient but the SR25 market is not that big, going on 7 months for a backorder is definitely longer than I expected. A lot of my frustration is due to the lack of information. It'd be nice to know something like, hey, we're currently shipping backorders from XX/XX/XX date and we are about 50% through the backorders. |

At some point since my last post, my order changed over to "on hold". Called Brownells and the rep said something along the lines of "that was done since your b/o was so old". Whatever, I said of course I still want them and got a shipping notice the next day... they should arrive tomorrow.
If you haven't checked your order status recently, go check it. Don't cancel because the price is still solid. I had ordered a couple 10 packs and the total price is still nice compared to where they have been anytime recently. Lots of places have had stock but not at ~$15 a pop shipped. My 855 ammo order from last year is still on regular backorder, unfortunately. Could be waiting a long time for that one. |
