care to give me a review of that scope? I have been wanting to try one forever Relatively satisfied with the Burris so far. I really like the reticle for distance work. I've learned that it helps to have the right target when shooting for groups. I use a target with a white circle within a black square for best results, using a copier to enlarge or shrink the image as necessary to use at various distances. (Targets can be downloaded from the Leupold website in the Resource section.) Using the 300-yard reticle dot for the respective yardage has proven accurate so far, although some slight vertical adjustment might be needed dependent upon chosen ammo / bullet weight / trajectory. My few complaints are that the entire rear ocular turns with power change, the click adjustments are sometimes a little mushy, and adjustments are not as predictable and precise as I think they should be. But with a little effort (and once the final ammo choice is determined based on accuracy tests), it can be sighted in and left alone, as the reticle has aiming points every 100 yards up to 1000. Haven't yet tested past 300 yards though. For CQB, the true 1x is beneficial, although the rifle is much handier if the scope is removed. With the LaRue mount, the setup should be versatile enough to serve in both close and midrange roles as needed (with or without optic). Knowing what I know now, I would still purchase the Burris / LaRue setup. Hope that helps... Does the 6920 come with the same BCG? I can't tell a diff really! The 6921 has a 14.5" barrel. The 6920 has a 16" barrel. The 6921 is a NFA weapon unless you have a permanently attached flash hider/compensator. The 6921 is the semi-auto version of the select-fire M4 in military use. The 6920 is the semi-auto, 16" barrelled, non-NFA, civilian legal/ownable version of the M4. But not a true M4 - hence "M4 Type" on the box. |

I'd like to read about before and after range reports for some of these rifles. It'd be nice to read about what size of a group a 6920 shot with the same ammo before and after it was modified. I have one 6920 that I changed up and one that I kept as a kiss rifle. The one I modified shot a little under 2 inch groups using SS109 reloads @ 100yds with a TA31F Acog before I changed it up. As you know these are no where near match bullets. I consider a 2 in group with them about as good as it gets at that distance. After I added the rail and stuff, it still shot the same with the same ammo. I haven't put any match ammo through it, or any match reloads. I just haven't gotten around to working up a load for it yet. I'm mainly just shooting my practice loads that I have stocked up through it now. I normally keep the aimpoint on it, but when I need to I through the Acog on there. 'My main reason for changing it up, was b/c I knew I wanted an aimpoint for CQB and I hate seeing the FSP through a red dot sight. So I went with flip up sights. The KISS one, I still haven't shot. I took the acog off of it and put the carry handle back on it. I plan on leaving it this way for now until I decide my plans for it. The only mod I've made to this one is I changed the grip for a Hogue one. I hate the hard plastic grips that come on AR's. In So. Texas, they get real slippery real quick in this heat.

this is from my 6920 with ACOG TAO1NSN , KAC M4 RAS, matech BUIS, KAC VFG and SOPMOD stock and tango down grip
sot at 100 yards with blackhills 77 grain MK 262 MOD 1 ammo. the dots are 3/4 inch dots in real size 
same gun now has around 6K rounds threough it, and still groups the same way if you want to do a group size topic, please start another thread, this was meant as pics only

I played with the ACS for probably 30 minutes at the SHOT Show this year and loved how incredibly comfortable the cheek rest was. If they could add that cheek rest to the UBR it would probably make that the best rifle stock ever made. For carbines, I love this ACS. Just like my old CTR, this ACS locks up like a bank vault on my 6920 RE. Not even the slightest hint of play in any direction. Ironically, my old CTR locked up that solid on my BCM RE but not an old CMT "mil-spec" RE. Parts is parts.

I have a 14.5 (socom HB) and a 11.5 for my Sabre SBR (form 1). I also have a Sabre 14.5 with a permed 1.5 Sabre extended A2 like your talking about.
My inlaws and my Army Reserve unit take me to Alabama at least once a month. Alabama allows all NFA except SBR's/SBS's I needed a Title 1 gun that would allow me the use both my AAC Omni suppressor and a still able to mount a bayonet./ shortest possible barrel and still be legal. The AAC Onmi, now discontinued, clamps on/over a standard A2 flashhider mounted using peel washers. Bayonet? you ask why? Hasnt the usefulness of it been argued by internet commandos to the point where the consensus is it's no longer a viable weapon? Well, being an old school Army Ranger, Im trained to use it and therefore Im going to have it, with the exception of the occasional use of the 11.5 upper. The Alabama legislature almost did away with their SBR restriction, and talk is they may do away with it in the very near future. If that happens, a 6921 will be my next AR. this pic was taken just prior to acquiring the LE 6920
