Big GD thread discussing it.
The opinion: https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25pdf/24-1234_g2bh.pdf

"Held: The government’s prosecution of Mr. Hemani under §922(g)(3)’s unlawful user provision is inconsistent with the Second Amendment. Pp. 3–19."

From footnote 6:

"Likewise, our conclusion today should not be taken to suggest “that the Second Amendment prohibits the enactment of laws banning the possession of guns by categories of persons thought by a legislature to present a special danger of misuse.” United States v. Rahimi, 602 U. S. 680, 698 (2024). The problem in this case is simply that the historical evidence the government presents does not support the categorical restriction it urges."

The ruling applies to fed law. It will likely take additional challenges to deal with any state laws that prohibit firearm possession (or purchase) by persons; "who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance (as defined in section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 802))".

Edit to add: And as expected some derpage by Jackson. Here is just one at the start of her concuring opinion:

"I join the Court’s opinion in full because it correctly applies our decisions in New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn., Inc. v. Bruen, 597 U. S. 1 (2022), and United States v. Rahimi, 602 U. S. 680 (2024). But I continue to believe that we veered off course in Bruen. See Rahimi, 602 U. S., at 741 (concurring opinion). I write separately to emphasize that means-end scrutiny—the approach courts applied before we adopted Bruen’s “history and tradition” metric—offers a more rational way of assessing the constitutionality of firearm regulations."

I lived in Colorado for a couple of years in the 70's.  There was a great bumper stick on many pickups then, "I'd rather be a roper than a doper".  I agree.  Colorado now 50 years later is a commie junkie nirvana.

Now for you psycho pot junkies here is a dose of reality for you....  assuming you aren't too stoned to comprehend what is being said.

Now I won't be able to say you're lying on the 4473 with caps lock on.

This is what they want as long as people have their weed abortion and you can cut your dick off. They don't care what right you take away
