I have a trust set up for my NFA items that covers my others that were converted to sbr and my suppressors and an actual sbr that i registered back in 21 after purchasing a preban lower, registering with the state, then registering it federally as sbr. My question is this, how can I make sure that all my guns, sbr, rifles, and pistols are registered to my trust? I feel like all I did for the non nfa items was add them to my schedule or trust contents page. I'm asking becuase my nephew is my sole heir and truste on the nfa trust, but now he purchased a home and wants to keep a few guns at his house for protection. I need to make sure I do this all correctly as I don't want him to get into any type of trouble as a new dad and home owner. I did a google search and it basically says I just need to do a dps3c but, I don't know if ct will accept the trust as the owner. I think I heard some where they don't, how that is legal, i'm not sure. Any one with any advice on how to use my gun trust as more then just a will for my guns? I don't want to transfer them out of my name/trust name to my nephew until I actually die. ETA he has a ct permit |

I don’t have a trust but I do believe the main reason for them was nfa and being able to let a member of the trust then use the nfa without fear. Maybe some people also put aw’s in trusts- not sure. I was under the impression that Ct stopped allowing transfers of firearms into trusts however I don’t know as I have nothing in a trust. |
