I need a new pair of boots for cleaning horse stalls and other misc wet area work. Muck Boots are garbage and I know the xtratufs were the Alaskan state official footwear. I’ve been told by my buddy that lives up there that the quality is no longer what it was. Is that true? If so what is made to last or is there anything better? Figured I’d ask you guys. The shorty deck boots would probably be ideal vs the 12in or higher. |

A few years ago they stopped being made in the USA, went to China. The first year they were falling apart, but they did warranty them all. They corrected the issue and I have three pairs. Two for work and one at home. Not quite the same feel. They have been lasting both steel toe and regular. I will continue to get them. Work, hiking, standing in poop, and fishing. Comet cleanser is the best for disinfection and removing the poop stink. They are not as good as the old ones. They are way better than Bogs or Muck. |

I appreciate the input. Even the obscure Scandinavian brands are made in China now as well. I’ll give the wheelhouse version a try since doesn’t seem to be a better choice |
