Popped up in my fecesbook feed the Worthington Doubletree 6500 Double tree Ave. March 21 and 22. Never heard of this show? Anyone know if it’s worth blowing $10 to see some beef jerky? |

It's a new show run by Great Lakes Gun Shows which I never heard of. I'm thinking about dropping in to check it out this new Worthington gunshow. The recent Show's at the State Fairgrounds were really sad and trashy. Room wasn't half full with vendors and it reeked of BO and Weed smell. It's still advertised as a C&E produced show but I wonder how much Steve and Annette who are awesome (The Owner's) are actually involved now? The guy who positioned himself to be running it barely spoke and was very rude. Not wasting my money going there again. There's lot of competiton now so this Worthington is worth trying plus OGCA has their Big Display show at the Fairgrounds in May :D |

It was OK for $10 and close to home, free parking, two rooms and a hallway. I sold some old .30 Carbine ammo to a dealer. I had other ammo he wasn’t interested in. Didn’t see anything I wanted to buy at prices asked. One table of pork rinds, another of candles. That’s about it for non-gun stuff. Dirty Frank’s wasn’t open when we left so we went elsewhere. |
| This show was decent with most of the regulars that are at the other shows. I sold a couple items but didn't pick up anything that I couldn't live without. The only tempting items were from one dealer that had a number of great condition 50 caliber ammo cans 2x for $20.00. |

Just reiterating what everyone else said. Good show in my opinion. I would definitely encourage everyone to check it out tomorrow in order to support the show coming back. "The Worthington" gunshow is at the Crowne Plaza North off of Busch boulevard in Columbus. Two rooms with a excellent selection of modern pistols, classic military surplus, Winchester Lever Actions. One Vendor had some excellent condition surplus rifle parts kits. The location and vendors were clean, don't reek of weed and BO.. Everyone was genuinely nice. It was slow there today due to the nice weather and it being their first time having a show in Columbus. Two young guys - probably in their late twenties whose family ran gun shows for years are the promoters. They have shows in Newark and Michigan also if you are out that way. They had about 800 spectators attend today but they're hoping for more like 3,000 Daily Free to park, like was already said and $10 for admission. I highly recommend checking them out tomorrow and hopefully they'll come back again. |

Go to the Obetz store, or one of the other new stores, not the one on Cleveland Ave. which is much smaller and in an increasingly sketchy area. The store in Obetz has an indoor range, I don't know about the other new stores. If you're here for another month, try to make it to the 4/25-4/26 "National Gun Day" show at the Roberts Center in Wilmington. |
