| I lost mine, been looking for it for a week. I'm gonna go downtown to get a replacement soon when I get a chance. Says you can get a civil infraction/fine if you don't have it on you when asked. Which is absolutely ridiculous in 2026. I don't know about Michigan, but in Ohio, (before they switched to constitutional carry), the police could tell whether someone had a carry license before they even talk to you when they run your plates, it comes up on their screen. Which is something they are almost always going to do during a traffic stop before they get out of their car and confront you. They already know. And they can also tell by running your driver's license in their computers. They act like they have no idea if you aren't carrying the physical card on you. |

Under Michigan Compiled Laws Section 28.425f, relying on a digital photo, an electronic copy, or hoping the officer can just "look you up" in the Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) does not fulfill your legal requirement |
