I guess you need a tag for a mountain lion in AZ. Darned if I can't find it on their website. It's here somewhere. https://www.azgfd.com/arizona-e-tag-app/ I have an Az hunting license, I just need the mountain lion tag. I can see from the harvest page that 4 of the 12 allotted for the strip have been taken. Season runs through the end of May. https://harvest-tracking.azgfd.gov/harvest-tracking-3 I don't have access to hounds so probably "fat chance" anyway. I've never even seen one. I really haven't seen anything around here, except a baby coyote who ran from one apartment complex, across a busy street, to another in St George. I was surprised to see traces of snow under the trees when I went a little further south this weekend. I need to mount my spare SxS tire and some other stuff since I usually don't go out of sight of the housing complexes, lol. I don't really want to have to walk back to cel service to pay Matt or to walk all The way home to get my truck and janky trailer. |

I have the book from AZGFD and it shows "non permit tags", and mountain lion is shown as $15 for resident, and $75 non-resident. There's also a Mountain Lion pursuit only permit, for $20 and $100. This number is listed for help. 602-942-3000 Choose 2 for draw related questions and hunting license information. If you bag one, not very likely, you have to report it to AZGFD at 877-438-0447 Good luck. Every time I've called AZGFD they were pretty helpful. |

Yeah it's a big deal if you shoot one, I think you have to bring the hide so they can pull a tooth and look at the sex organs. Thanks for looking that up. You know I bought this atv sticker you need in Az, I've never seen another one. I also paid for the "go on Az state land" thing. I've never seen an Az cop on the strip. The strip is separated from the cities in that county. |

The head guy politely asked me if he could use the spot I was shooting on, it was kind of a big turn off where you could fit several trucks and I guess launch their drones. I asked if he wanted to shoot "uh no we aren't allowed" lol. He said he was from Wyoming but they came down here because it was winter. Nice guy and I was happy to let him have my spot since he asked nice. He was pretty evasive when I started asking him about drones. |

I don't see the otc tags on the license website. You might have to get it in person. You need the non-res hunting license and the tag, but I dont know exactly what that entails, never done it, still new here. I moved to Utah in 2022. My wife just couldn't take NY anymore. It was pretty bad during Covid. I still go back once in awhile for the small amount of legal work I do or go hunt or visit. It's really noticeable how much of upstate NY is kind of run down. My wife rarely goes with me. When she does and we get back here she acts like she escaped East Germany. I do miss the weather and friends and family. The hunting is sure better in NY. Not much else is. I found a hardware store here in Utah that might have AZ mountain lion tags. |
