What's a spot that is secluded yet can be canoed in a day? (By day trip, I mean there's a motel or cabin/resort within an hour driving distance.) I know a few secluded spots but you really got to hike for a day to get to them. And I know more popular spots can get quite busy. Any lakes that cover the best of both worlds? I used to hike the Pow Wow Trail which has some lakes not accessible to canoers. You would have an entire lake to yourself. |

| Angleworm Lake, and there's a short portage into Home(?) Lake if you want a little more. I backpacker around angleworm and did an overnight, not canoeing just packing, at Thanksgiving. Nice little spot with some nice rock ledge views. Not that far up the Echo trail. |
