| I read the Fed District Court and 10th Cir decisions on the waiting period. The NM Federal District Court tailored its final decision so narrowly that it appears the only people, entities it applies to are the original plaintiffs. More recently, the Fed District Court has struck down the NFA as it applies to suppressors but the Plaintiffs' class seems to be open ended to allow current and future members of Silencer Shop and some other Plaintiff entities to be covered. So my question is, can I now walk into Right to Bear Arms, plunk down my cash, undergo the NICS check and approval and walk out with my silencer? Anyone know? |
Guns & gadgets just posted this video few hours ago. Not sure what’s changed, if anything at this point. I thought this decision came down in Jan/Feb. not sure why it’s making the news again? Or what? Every shop I’ve visited in the last few weeks still has the waiting period in effect. So I really don’t know what’s happening, I don’t think anyone does at this point. The spokesperson for the governor said that with “almost certainty” the state will appeal the decision. Which is funny, because they’ve already lost the decision. So what are they appealing? It’s just legal games at this point. The governor is buying time to try & figure a way to screw over lawful gun owners some other way on her way out the door. Or they’re waiting to see what happens with Maine & Colorados court cases. Long way of saying we still have to wait if no CCW permit. |
