[ARCHIVED THREAD] - What month do you spray pre-emergent in Central AZ?

Maricopa County to be specific.

Do you spray once a year or twice a year?

What month or months do you spray?

With the late rains and higher temps, my yard got away from me a little bit.

I spray once a year sometime between mid December to mid January, with the ground temperature above 55 degrees.

Am I doing it wrong?

It doesn't seem to matter for me. Rain= stuff growing. There's so much seed in the ground on different cycles that random stuff just pops up (things I haven't seen for years).

I just spray the crap out of the ground when stuff starts growing.

I gave up on pre-emergent and just concentrate on killing them when they sprout.
This year has been much worse than usual.
