Gents, I'm collecting permit Pokimons, and Washington is next on my list.  Looks like the application process is straightforward and I can apply to any county. Recommendations on which county I should go for from a "if I have to pay a fee, I'd rather it go to there guys than those guys" basis, as well as overall easy of application? Thanks! Current Pokimons  WA permit only gains me WA, but with the way reciprocity shifts around, it might in the future and it's good for five years from what I read. |

I vote Spokane, just because they actually give hard cards, rather than some other counties that give paper ones requiring the holder to laminate them. |

CPL The hard cards are nice, the paper cards had to be trimmed down to credit card size and the trimming needed was pretty tight. Tacoma issued my first renewal after moving from Seattle with the hard card and my renewal this year of course The gun desk in King County court house downtown Seattle (shithole that it is) was always easy to deal with and professional with my CPL, even owning up when th miss filed it and held it to long after the first application. I called in the figured out what happened and sent it. |

Never fear, I hear the CHL renewal process is becoming a pain in the neck to dissuade renewals….yay WA! BTW- WA has open carry (mostly), and a lot of actual exemptions. Buy a fishing license, have a fishing destination you are headed to, and fishing gear…exempt! |

And I think technically that RCW covers "Any legitimate outdoor recreation activity" or something to that effect. I'm on my way to go hiking, I'm GTG! |

that's right any lawful outdoor activity, that could be anything, bird watching, camping, hiking, target practice, that is when you have a truck load of guns with you!!, can't say you are going hiking with an arsenal. It is a neat carve out in the law that allows you to have a loaded hand gun in the vehicle without a permit. |

But to be fair, I do a lot of fishing anyway so it's not a stretch.
